Having recently moved to Connecticut from the south, the client wanted to embrace cooler-weather plants in a whimsical, cottage-style garden for her historic home in West Hartford. Colorful perennials and classic cottage plants fill a streetside sunny border where roses and clematis adorn wood tuteurs, handbuilt by PWG. In a shady stairway garden, foliage plants, grasses, and woodland flowers flank a bluestone pathway.
