PWG cannot take credit for the main garden at the Webb Deane Stevens Museum, a museum and collection of colonial homes in Wethersfield, CT. That honor falls on Amy Cogswell, an early female American landscape designer, who designed the museum’s garden in the colonial revival style in the early 20th century. Today, along with the help of a dedicated group of volunteers, PWG maintains the Amy Cogswell garden. Additionally, in 2022 PWG designed and installed a second, smaller garden around the property’s front courtyard, using a plant palette that harmonizes and compliments the Cogswell garden’s colonial revival style.
